Memory is what makes aidax compound. The more you use it, the more it already knows — so the next project starts from what you’ve learned, not from scratch.
Memory lives at three altitudes
Well-run companies report in three levels — Vision, Strategy, Execution. Memory in aidax works the same way. Each altitude answers a different question.Three kinds of memory
Cutting the other way, memory holds three kinds of things:Facts & decisions
What you know and decided — the curated, durable layer that agents read as context.
Notes & work
Research, drafts, session notes — the raw material, searchable, that gets distilled into facts.
Playbooks
How you do things — reusable recipes that can actually run. See Playbooks.
Your memory is yours
Memory is stored as plain Markdown files — the simplest, most portable format there is.Download it anytime
Export your entire memory as a folder of Markdown files. Take it with you. No lock-in.
Nothing hidden
Agents only know what’s written in your files. There’s no secret state you can’t see or take.
Bring your existing notes
Already keep knowledge in Obsidian or a folder of Markdown? You can connect it. aidax imports your notes so agents can use them as context, and (later) keeps a two-way sync with the folders you choose — always explicit, never a blind sync.Import comes first (bring your content in). Two-way sync with your local vault follows.
